Learning Specialist – 1 position

Join our Team

Serenic Software has a current need for 1 Learning Specialist.  The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as a proven ability to provide effective in-person and web training to business partners and clients.  Preference is for the position to be located in Edmonton, AB, but this is not a requirement.  Alternate Serenic offices or remote employment will also be considered.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and maintain online help and training materials for Serenic suite of modules.
  • Deliver scheduled training through webinars, classroom, and auditorium settings.
  • Deliver ad hoc training to internal and external audiences, as needed.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining the schedule of courses offered to clients.
  • Promote additional products and services to clients.
  • Liaise with other departments, especially support and product management.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience as a technical writer, instructional designer, or software trainer preferred.
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, school boards, and governmental agencies a strong plus.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Word and Excel) skills are required and experience with Microsoft SharePoint a strong plus.
  • Must possess efficient, disciplined work habits with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Must be equally comfortable working independently or within a team environment.
  • Travel may be required, both domestically and internationally.
  • Financial knowledge and/or experience preferred.
